What is a pink screen on your laptop or computer?

All the computers, laptops and mostly all the electronic devices which have a display use an RGB color scheme.

RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue using which different colors are formed on your screen.

A pink screen is a discoloration in the display and occurs when the pink becomes more prominent.

Pink is formed when the red in the RGB color scheme is at its maximum, green lying somewhere in the middle and blue almost at its maximum.

This pink color sometimes covers the whole display, patches across the display or appears as horizontal, vertical lines running across the display.

What causes a laptop screen to turn into pink?

The causes of the pink screen fall into two categories: hardware and software. To find out if it is hardware or software plug in the laptop to an external screen.

If the external monitor shows any pink hue then it is a software problem if not then it is a hardware problem and something must be wrong with your monitor.
