Trace 700 xây dựng các thuật toán rất mạnh dùng để tính toán tải lạnh (tải nóng) cho các công trình nhiệt lạnh và điều hòa không khí với các dữ liệu và thông số tính toán theo tiêu chuẩn ASHRAE. First, close out of TRACE 700 and reboot the computer. Once the computer is restarted, then try to open up in TRACE 700. If rebooting and reopening the program does not fix the ODBC issue, please follow the steps below.

Navigate to the following path in Windows Explorer:

Windows 7 32bit: C:\Program Files\Trane\TRACE 700\TraceRepair.exe

Windows 7 64bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Trane\TRACE 700\TraceRepair.exe

Double-click on the TRACERepair.exe to open the file. Check the boxes for the LIB7 Datasource and PSI7 Datasource then select Restore Defaults.

Close the TRACERepair.exe file then launch TRACE 700.

Some computers require a restart first after the above changes to make the restortion take affect.

If it fails proceed with the following steps.

Administrative rights are required to continue.

Windows 7 32-bit: Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu. Select Perfromance and Maintenance then Administrative Tools. Now select Data Sources (ODBC). Windows 7 64-bit: Open Computer and navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64. Double-click odbcad32.exe to run the application.

2. Select the System DSN tab, before creating any new datasources, delete the existing LIB7 and PSI7 (if either exist).

3. Select Add, then select A.S.A. 7.0 TRACE then select Finish. If A.S.A. 7.0 TRACE is not available, it will be necessary to reinstall TRACE.

4. For Data Source Name, type LIB7.

5. Select the Login tab, for the User ID enter Trane and for the password TRANE.

6. Select the Database Tab

• Enter TRACE for the Server Name.
• For the Start Line type (32bit path is "C:\Program Files\Trane\TRACE 700\rteng7.exe") (64bit path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trane\TRACE 700\rteng7.exe") (NOTE: Make sure to add the quotation marks when inputting the path.)
• For the Database name, type Library, and for the Database file,click the Select button and navigate to the lib7.db file (for Windows 7 32bit this location is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Trane\Trace 700\Databases\lib7.db", Windows 7 64bit "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Trane\Trace 700\Databases\lib7.db") (NOTE: Make sure to add the quotation marks when inputting the path.)

7. Click OK to finish adding the LIB7 datasource, if you are prompted to replace the existing datasource, then select YES.

8. On the System DSN tab, select Add, then select A.S.A. TRACE then select Finish.

9. For the Data Soruce Name, type PSI7.

10. Select the Login tab, for the User ID and enter dba for the password enter sql.

11. Select the Database Tab.

• Enter TRACE for the Server Name.
• For the Start Line, type (32bit path is "C:\Program Files\Trane\TRACE\rteng7.exe", 64bit path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trane\TRACE 700\rteng7.exe") (NOTE: Make sure to add the quotation marks when inputting the path.)
• For the Database name, type PSI, and for the Database, click the Select button and navigate to the psi7.db file (for Windows 7 32bit "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Trane\Trace 700\Databases\PSI7.db", for Windows 7 64bit this location is "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Trane\Trace 700\Databases\psi7.db" (NOTE: Make sure to add the quotation marks when inputting the path.)

12. Click OK to finish adding the PSI datasource, if prompted to replace the exitng datasource select YES.

If this does not resolve the issue, verify that there is not red and yellow SQL icon on the bottom right of the Windows screen, in the System Tray. Right click on the icon and choose exit if present.
