One of the unpleasant features of iOS 15 is the strange work of the built-in player in the Safari application. When browsing sites through a standard browser, automatic playback of videos on the pages is often triggered.

This is not a whim of the site owners and not the peculiarities of page layout. The problem with this behavior lies either in the changed parameters of the built-in video player, or in the code of iOS 15 itself.

There are two ways to solve this problem.

Standard way to disable autoplay

Go to application testing page touchtube.

Install the utility TestFlight from the App Store.

Join testing utility touchtube and download it from the link above via TestFlight.

After installing and launching the application for the first time, go to Preferences Safari Extensions touchtube.

Activate the extension and allow it to make changes to the pages loaded by the browser.

Now all videos downloaded through Safari will be stopped, and to activate playback, you will need to tap the video preview window three times.

This method of protection will definitely save you from automatically enabling videos while browsing various sites and services.
