Msi laptop power button not working
Last night, my brother shut down the laptop, and this morning, it won't turn on. Show
I've tried unplugging the battery, but it still won't work. The charging light does work when the battery is plugged, but no success in turning on the system. It should also be noted that the charging light will turn off after holding the power button for about 10 seconds.
Laptop model: MSI GL62 7REX General: i7-7700HQ, 1050, 8GB
Anyone got any advice? I suggest maybe the power button is dead since the charger is working just fine. Thank you.
Quick update: I'll put a picture of the motherboard, for no reason. You can take a look at it. Edited September 7, 2020 by Azura Lightfeilt Update 1

My msi laptop GL62 6QF won't start. It worked fine, I closed the lid and came back 30 minutes later and it didn't turn on again. Even with the charger plugged in nothing happened. There should be no reason for it to do this. The battery was almost full.
Try the following and see if it will turn on... 1. First make sure the device has been charged.
2. Unplug your charger cord.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds.
5. Now plug back in the power/charger cord. 6. Now put the battery back in. If this doesn't help, then test the power cord to see if it is good. Either try your cord in another device, or try another devices cord in your laptop. Should that not be the problem, then check the battery to see if it needs replacing.

I had the same problem and I did the procedure you mentioned. It works but after the laptop turned on, the battery was 85% and i try to run "League of Legend", within 15 minutes it shut down without warning and it does not turn on anymore. I did the procedure again and again, and it does not work anymore. Wondering what is going on. PS:The first time I am able to turn it on, I checked the battery is 85% and the charger does work.
