Jan marini bioglycolic face cleanser reviews năm 2024

A few years back, I started seeing Meme Glick, who I like to call “my face lady.” No, Meme did not ask to be in this article. I mention her because she helped me. It’s not often that you find someone you can trust with an incredibly important part of your body — -your skin! She was incredibly helpful in educating and treating various skin issues that I was dealing with and others that I wanted to prevent. In my appointments, I would often ask for her opinion on certain products and brands and she would repeatedly tell me, “there are products that maintain and products that change your skin.” Jan Marini falls under the latter as they believe that:

“Skin care should not only address current skin conditions, but should also provide the skin with the necessary ingredients for prevention and maintenance of healthy skin at any age.” JanMarini.com

Meme recommended this product, the Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser, for my skin concerns as part of a complete day/night regimen. Now, on with the review.

Benefits:

  • Cleansing Ability: This cleanser will leave your skin feeling clean. Toner was not recommend for my very dry skin and I never felt I needed it after this product. Great feeling!
  • Offers Exfoliation: I’m not talking about scrubbing action and the feeling of grains scraping dead skin cells away. I’m referring to chemical exfoliation, which is said to be much better for the overall health of your skin. Overtime, this cleanser aided in the removal of stubborn whiteheads from the sides of my nose. Those things are so disgusting to me and BTW ripping them out with those convenient nose pads is a NO NO!
  • Glycolic Acid: Oh Glycolic Acid, how wonderful are you! It is known for treating a variety of skin concerns such as fine lines, acne, dullness, and more. It has the ability to penetrate deep below your skin’s surface and this is the second ingredient in the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Cleanser. I mean hey, it better be since it’s in the name!
  • Sorbitol: Put simply, prevents moisture loss by pulling water via osmosis from the air around you. Preventing moisture loss is key as our skin ages and becomes more prone to dryness. Dry skin is more prone to wrinkles. This being said, if you live in a dry climate, you may want to have a very good moisturizer on hand to follow this cleanser.
  • For All Skin Types: I love that this product caters to every skin condition: oily, dry, normal, sensitive, acne prone. Who knew a skin care product could be so accepting!

Flaws:

  • Specific Application: I only put this as a flaw, because I know of one too many people who dislike regimens and like products that are incredibly versatile. This one is not. Heed the instructions with this product, ladies and gentlemen! You need to massage this cleanser over DRY skin. I know, I know, most products you need to splash your face with water first. Do not do that with this cleanser. It works in a certain way and your skin will thank you for following the correct process. Massage over DRY skin, then splash with water or GENTLY wipe off with a wet washcloth. PAT skin dry, do not rub.
  • Acclimation Time: As this product has such a specific application and is very different from the products I had been using, my skin did feel tight and dry in the first few weeks. Although I did not experience peeling, dry skin is enough to irritate me like no other. Just remember, there are no overnight sensations when it comes to skincare or really anything else for that matter! Give your skin time to acclimate to new products before making judgements.
  • Not a Makeup Remover: This product is not a makeup remover, that includes eye makeup! You do not want this product rubbed into your eyelashes or worse, your eyeballs! I urge you to remove your makeup with an appropriate product prior to using this cleanser. I did try and disregard this and let me tell you, I did not like the way it felt. If I could describe the feeling in one word, it was messy.
  • Price: Oh goodness, let’s discuss finances. Everyone has a certain budget for skincare. Mine fluctuates based on my current career situation. When I need to cut back on certain spending, this is not a brand that I reach for. Jan Marini products are definitely an investment, especially if purchasing several items. However, if you are serious about your skincare and have the funds then may the change be with you. *Pun intended

Overall Opinion:

YellowLight

I give this a YELLOW LIGHT. Don’t get me wrong, this is a stellar product and really did change the way my skin felt and looked. However, you need to make sure the products you are using in conjunction with this cleanser are also able to contribute to the bigger picture or this product will not be of much benefit. At least, this was my experience. Along with this cleanser, I was also using the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Bioclear Lotion, Age Intervention Enlighten Plus and the Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 33 Sunkissed Tint ←-talk about a great moisturizer with SPF and tint, check it out! Also, consider the price. If you cannot afford it, don’t buy it. I would speak with a professional to offer you less expensive alternatives. That is one thing that I love about Meme Glick. If I wasn’t able to handle the cost of a certain product, she would tell me which drugstore product would suffice as a replacement. All in all, if you are looking for results and have the budget, I recommend giving Jan Marini products a try and definitely the Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser.

*If you’re not familiar with my ratings, Yellow Light means caution, slow your roll, heed my full review before purchasing.

Product Info (where to buy):

This product can be purchased from licensed Spas, Salons, Skin Therapy facilities and the Jan Marini website itself. The Jan Marini site features a great tool where you can enter your zip code and find licensed businesses where you can purchase their products. I purchased this cleanser from Meme Glick for $33.00, plus tax.

Full Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this product on my own accord and with my own cold hard cash and wanted to provide my readers with an honest review, because I’m a product junkie and I enjoy writing.
